Traducianism holds that the soul is passed along to each of us from our parents. Like hair and eye color and other physical characteristics, our immaterial characteristics, or soul, are also transmitted through natural generation. Our sin nature, a part of the immaterial aspect of our souls, is therefore passed along thusly. In this scenario, the line of descent representing our sin natures would follow generational lines from one descendant to the next through posterity. Boiled down, via natural headship we were present with Adam when he sinned and so sinned too.
