In the 2018 election year, the pharmaceutical industry spent more than $27 MILLION in campaign donations to candidates. During the \u201817-\u201918 election cycle, Congressman Kevin McCarthy, current House Minority leader, received the second-highest amount of funds from the pharmaceutical industry. The California-based politician received a total of $380,350 in campaign contributions, with a large sum coming from pharmaceutical companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m really much more concerned because Congress is supposed to have oversight for the FDA,\u201d Brown said. \u201cIf the FDA isn\u2019t going to hold pharma accountable, and Congress is getting paid to not hold pharma accountable, then it really doesn\u2019t matter who the President is because it\u2019s really about Congress.\u201d<\/p>

1. I\u2019ve NEVER had any thoughts of taking my own life, not once, ever. Even before I had my son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. I have a huge mission in this life. Even when they make it very difficult and scary, I would NEVER take my own life. Period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Bastien means everything to me and I would NEVER leave him. Period. I have sole custody and he needs me as much as I need him. I would NEVER think of leaving him for a second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. I have NEVER been on an anti-depressant nor been diagnosed as depressed \u2014 don\u2019t believe it if you ever hear anything like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. I\u2019ve NEVER taken a daily pharmaceutical drug. And I haven\u2019t taken any pharmaceuticals in 10 years (and ten years ago it was one pill, one day). Nothing over the counter, nothing by prescription. In other words, I\u2019m not on anything that could kill me unexpectedly or suddenly. I\u2019ve never done illegal drugs either. Not even once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. There\u2019s no way anyone could get into my house, no robbers, no angry exes (which I don\u2019t have btw), no fanatical people \u2014 my house is like Fort Knox…unless it was someone super professional. It just wouldn\u2019t be possible for anyone without highly special equipment and tactics (I.e. remotely taking down my high-level security system, which they have done before, unfortunately). But my place is also highly secure in a hard-wired kinda way. So even if the power was out, most people could still never get in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. If something were to happen to me, it\u2019s foul play and you know exactly who and why \u2014 given my work and mission in this life. I\u2019m also NOT accident prone. And I got the highest health rating possible when I went through a battery of medical tests a couple of years ago for my life insurance policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. If something were to happen to me, I have arranged for a close group of my friends to start a GoFundMe to hire a team of private investigators to figure out all the details (I have the team and have passed the info on to them). Oh, and money fora PR firm to make
It national news. There would be a press release sent to every journalist in this country (and more). It would not be swept under the rug, and it would be their worst nightmare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. There have been many on this mission or a similar one that have been killed and it\u2019s time this bullshit stopped. The darkness cannot win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. I will NEVER stop speaking out for those who no longer can. Even if from the other side, where I imagine I would be FAR MORE powerful. ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall improvement in the health of Americans over the 20th century is best exemplified by dramatic changes in 2 trends: 1) the age-adjusted death rate declined by about 74%, while 2) life expectancy increased 56%. Leading causes of death shifted from infectious to chronic diseases. In 1900, infectious respiratory diseases accounted for nearly a quarter of all deaths. In 1998, the 10 leading causes of death in the United States were, respectively, heart disease and cancer followed by stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, accidents (unintentional injuries), pneumonia and influenza, diabetes, suicide, kidney diseases, and chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. The size and composition of the American population is fundamentally affected by the fertility rate and the number of births. Between 1900 and 1998, the death rate from accidents, now usually called unintentional injuries, declined two-thirds, from 47.5 to 15.9 deaths per 100\u2009000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The child dependency ratio far exceeded the elderly dependency ratio during most of the 20th century, particularly during the first 70 years.
