Robert Otto Becker<\/strong> (May 31, 1923 \u2212 May 14, 2008) was a U.S. orthopedic<\/a>surgeon<\/a> and researcher in electrophysiology<\/a>\/electromedicine<\/a>. He worked mainly as professor at Upstate Medical Center in State University of New York<\/a>, Syracuse<\/a>, and as Director of Orthopedic Surgery<\/a> at the Veterans Administration Hospital<\/a>, Syracuse, New York.[1]<\/a>[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Becker was known for his work in bioelectricity<\/a> and leading the early opposition to high-voltage power lines<\/a>.[2]<\/a><\/sup> He has been named as one of the most influential figures in the area of anti-EMF<\/a> activism.[3]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n
