Not only human listened to Dhamma, deities included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Deities are not considered someone we pray to, but listening the Buddha teaching together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mangala Sutta: Blessings<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Is prayer to deities denied in Buddhism?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not everything Buddhists do is related to Buddhism. For example, cooking, going to movie, kicking the ball \u2026 they are not related to Buddhism. Praying to deities is the same way. A few Buddhists, who inherited the ancestors’ belief, they might pray to those to gain wealth, health and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Did Buddha teach his followers to pray to deities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Besides, Buddha was born over 2,600 years ago. Deities worship were popular some part of the world. One thousand or 1,500 years after Buddha’s death, Buddhism arrived to those places. Some area, the two co-exist.
