The idea of the sacred fire is also a fundamental symbol in Zoroastrian worship. Zoroastrian prayers are to be said in the presence of light, either in the form of fire or the sun. In the Iranian dialects of Yidḡa and Munǰī, the sun is still called “ormozd”.[17]

Avesta, also called Zend-avesta, sacred book of Zoroastrianism containing its cosmogony, law, and liturgy, the teachings of the prophet Zoroaster (Zarathushtra). The extant Avesta is all that remains of a much larger body of scripture, apparently Zoroaster’s transformation of a very ancient tradition. The voluminous manuscripts of the original are said to have been destroyed when Alexander the Great conquered Persia. The present Avesta was assembled from remnants and standardized under the Sāsānian kings (3rd–7th century AD).
Zarathustra, also spelled Zarathushtra, Greek Zoroaster, (born traditionally c. 628 BCE, possibly Rhages, Iran—died c. 551 BCE), Iranian religious reformer and prophet, traditionally regarded as the founder of Zoroastrianism. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Zarathustra
The incorporation of certain motifs into the zoroastrian tradition in the ninth century CE could indicate the conscious attempt of the priesthood to exalt their prophets in the eyes of the faithful who may have been tempted to turn to other religions. Jenny rose the image of zoroaster page 17

According to pahlavi literature by the age of thirty zoroaster was taught about Ahura Mazda and five other radiant figures. Middle Persian and Pahlavi works created in the 9th and 10th century contain many religious Zoroastrian books, as most of the writers and copyists were part of the Zoroastrian clergy.
The biblical Magi[a] (/ˈmeɪdʒaɪ/ or /ˈmædʒaɪ/;[1] singular: magus), also referred to as the (Three) Wise Men or (Three) Kings, also the Three Magi (Greek: Οι Τρεις Μάγοι; Hebrew: שלושת האמגושים; Arabic: المجوس الثلاثة; Middle Persian moɣ(mard), Old Persian magu- ‘Zoroastrian clergyman’) were distinguished foreigners in the Gospel of Matthew and Christian tradition. They are said to have visited Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. They are regular figures in traditional accounts of the nativity celebrations of Christmas and are an important part of Christian tradition.
In conclusion, I shall add that the so called scholarly view of people like Ernst Herzfeld, Duchesne-Guillemin Johanes Hertel , Georg Hüsing, Ilya Gershevitch and Robert C. Zaehner; who claim that the Magi were not Zoroaster’s disciples and that the teaching of Zoroaster was altered by the Magi; goes CONTRARY to all the ancient accounts of classical writers, is wholly unsubstantiated, and is purely speculative without a shred of evidence from ancient historical records.
Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) arose out of the so-called “qigong boom” of the late ’80s. Qigong is an umbrella term for a number of practices involving meditation, slow-moving exercises and regulated breathing. Qigong groups exploded during this time, attracting tens of millions of mostly urban and elderly Chinese. At one point, more than 2,000 different groups existed. https://www.pri.org/stories/2014-07-14/why-china-fears-falun-gong

Master Li Encounters Jesus: Christianity and the Configurations of Falun Gong. Falun Gong was established in northeast China in 1992, and seven years later was banned. Unable to practice within China, small outposts of practitioners set up new communities, and now operate in 69 countries in North America, Europe, Australia, Hong Kong and other parts of Asia, where the movement was free to continue, with the task of preserving and disseminating the teachings. In this chapter, Penny explores the development of the philosophy of the organisation in the context of migration, resettlement, advocacy and proselytisation. He draws on Li Hongzhi’s writings on Christian matters from the pre-suppression period and post-suppression, he discusses two topics: first, the use made by Li and some of his followers of the example of Jesus and the early Christian community, and secondly, a set of essays by Falun Gong practitioners concerned with prophecy, specifically certain sections of the Book of Revelations from the Christian Bible. https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-94-007-2932-2_3

To understand religious persecution, human and china history most be studied and understood. What is their goal and how they intend to control society.
The Associated Press reported in 2018 that “Xi is waging the most severe systematic suppression of Christianity in the country since religious freedom was written into the Chinese constitution in 1982.” This has involved “destroying crosses, burning bibles, shutting churches and ordering followers to sign papers renouncing their faith,” actions taken against “so-called underground or house churches that defy government restrictions.”[122]

Doctrina no bíblica.

ShangDi goes back much further than this, though. Here it becomes even more clear that our critic has read very little of the book he criticizes. It appears that Mr Seebach did not read even up to page 14 of the 139-page book, because here the authors discuss this very topic, showing clearly the antiquity of ShangDi. The Shu Jing (Book of History) compiled by Confucius (ca. 500 BC) records that Emperor Shun, from the legendary period of five emperors, pre-dating the first (Xia) dynasty (some 4,000 years ago), ‘sacrificed to ShangDi’. This somewhat pre-dated missionary activity in China ! Also, if our critic had read what he is criticising with a little more care, he would have seen that the authors were pointing out that the Chinese often shortened ShangDi to simply Di (帝 ) but, over time, came to use ‘Heaven’ (天) rather than ShangDi. In fact, by the time of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC–AD 24), ShangDi had been all but forgotten, with the intrusion of Buddhism and Taoism. The authors were not at all confused about how ShangDi is rendered in Chinese. It would even seem that the critic has not even read the actual text of the book—he has merely looked at a few of the illustrations and their captions, which are placed in the margins of the book, and maybe a few sentences next to the illustrations. It would seem to me to be at least polite to read an author’s work properly before criticizing it. https://creation.com/cmi-misrepresents-ancient-chinese-language
‘Of old in the beginning, there was the great chaos, without form and dark. The five elements [planets] had not begun to revolve, nor the sun and moon to shine. You, O
Spiritual Sovereign first divided the grosser parts from the purer. You made heaven. You made earth. You made man. All things with
their reproducing power got their being.’
This reads something like a summary of the creation account in Genesis chapter 1. In fact, it is from the Chinese book Shu Ching or Book
of History, compiled by Confucius (551–479 bc). It is part of a ceremony called the Border Sacrifice in which bullocks were sacrificed in worship of ShangTi, the Heavenly Ruler. This
ceremony dates back to the Emperor Shun in 2230 bc, immediately following the dispersion of the nations from Babel.
It was held annually for over 4,000 years, at first on the border of China, and then from the 15th century AD in Beijing, until the deposal of the Manchu Dynasty in ad 1911.
By the time of Confucius, some 1800 years after the inauguration of the ceremony, its meaning had been lost, although Confucius himself wrote, ‘He who understands the
ceremonies of the sacrifices to Heaven and Earth . . . would find the government of a kingdom as easy as to look into his palm.’
The mystery, therefore, that Confucius could not solve was: Who was ShangTi and why was worship of him so important?
The authors of this book develop the thesis that the ancient Chinese were monotheists and that ShangTi was the Lord God Almighty, whose actions in history and interactions with humanity are described in the early chapters of Genesis, and who was self-existing, eternal and spirit — there was no image of him in the Temple of Heaven in
Beijing. Compare this with the Hebrew
Shaddai (Almighty), which is phonetically similar to ShangTi, especially in the Cantonese dialect, which pronounces, the name. ShangDai, and which is thought to be the closest to the original spoken Chinese.
Polytheism came with the introduction of Confucianism and Taoism after the 6th century bc, followed by Buddhism from India in the 1st century bc, and ShangTi was largely
forgotten as the one and only God of the
Chinese. However, all traces and knowledge of the original God of China have not been erased. The authors believe that a beautiful history of the beginnings of the human race has been preserved in the ancient character-
writing of the Chinese language, which was invented simultaneously with the development of the early Chinese culture.

Although in Chinese religion the usage of “Tian” to refer to the absoluteGod of the universe is predominant, “Shangdi” continues to be used in a variety of traditions, including certain philosophical schools,[2] certain strains of Confucianism,[3] some Chinese salvationist religions (REVIEW) and Chinese Protestant Christianity. In addition, it is common to use such term among contemporary and secular Chinese, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwanese and Overseas Chinese societies typically for a singular universal deity and a non-religion translation for God in Abrahamic religions.[4]
